      Peabody has an opportunity for a 6 month secondment position as a Team Manager based in the Saffron Walden and Uttlesford area.

      The successful candidate will be required to work alongside the Team Managers and support our customers in their homes. 

      The successful applicant will need to work flexibly.

      To manage the day to day running of the services including reviewing of customer paperwork, carrying out customer audits, rota management, supervise staff, take part in the local on call service, to liaise with stakeholders and other involved professionals and be able to undertake any other reasonable requests from your line manager.

      Car driver is essential.

      About the services…

      Full time/part time posts available at various locations and service-types (floating support and accommodation-based support) in south London, as well as client types.

      You will work as part of a team ensuring that all services are delivered flexibly innovatively and in a responsible manner. The primary focus of this post is to contribute and develop the provision of services within the supported housing services. The aim is also to promote the independence, welfare and dignity of the customers

      The key duties of this post are:

      • To plan, implement and oversee individual customers support plans/ risk assessment and contribute to ongoing monitoring and review processes.
      • To assist and encourage customers to live independently as far as possible.
      • Our staff support customer’s around a range of different areas to enable them to become as independent as possible. The support includes:
      • Maintaining an tenancy with a view to moving into independent accommodation
      • Linking in with healthcare services
      • Reducing substance misuse and offending behaviour
      • Budgeting and managing money and benefits
      • Increasing social and living skills and broadening support networks
      • Links into education, training and work opportunities
      • Developing life skills

      The roles have various working patterns with some including shift work across a 7 day week.

    Resettlement Officer

    • Peabody are providing a flagship resettlement service to families and individuals displaced by the Grenfell Tower disaster, on behalf of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.   We have two full-time vacancies available for the right candidates. These fixed term contracts run until 1 October 2019, but may be extended by 6 months. The start date for these contracts is to be confirmed.

      We are seeking to recruit two highly skilled and experienced resettlement workers to join the service.  If you are experienced in working with people with complex needs who have experienced trauma; are self-aware and sensitive, resilient and able to cope with potentially stressful environments we’d like to hear from you.  The post holders will provide face to face direct resettlement support to residents displaced into hotel, B&B and temporary accommodation.

      The service will operate over 5 days (Monday to Friday) and may include some eventing work depending on the needs of service users.  We would be particularly interested in hearing from staff who can speak Arabic and or Somali. 

      We are looking for people who are:

      • Experienced in supporting people with complex needs and those who have experienced trauma
      • Flexible - may be required to undertake practical and physical support interventions
      • Self-aware, sensitive and resilient
      • Evidence of great partnership working
      • Excellent communicator (verbal and written)
      • Insightful regarding trauma and PTSD, recognising that they may at times face people with anger and distress
      • Able to describe management strategies to cope

      Are you experienced in working with people who complex needs who have experienced trauma, self-aware and sensitive, resilient and able to cope with stress? Then we are looking for you to join our team of support workers who will provide resettlement support to families to enable and support them to live independently. We are going to provide a resettlement service for those affected by the Grenfell Tower disaster, the service will provide 3 months to 18 months support depending on needs. The service will run Monday to Friday with a duty rota.

    • Peabody are looking for a Case Worker to work in our Chelmsford direct access hostel for single homeless people and families called Anne Knight House.

       

      Anne Knight House, is a 22 bed supported housing scheme, comprising of 8 self-contained family units and 3 shared flats for single homeless adults. You will be supporting single homeless people of varying ages during a period of assessment by the local authority with regards to their housing applications. You will manage a caseload supporting tenants with managing their Occupation at Anne Knight House and move on pathways, Their Income, welfare benefit applications including maximising their income, living on a budget, managing their physical and mental health issues. You will also support individuals to source meaningful occupation such as employment, Education and Voluntary opportunities.

       

      The Service operates Monday-Friday 8am -7pm

       

      Good communication and computer skills are vital, as is the ability to keep accurate records, work as part of a team and manage a caseload.

      We have full time (37.5 hours) and part time (from 15 hours up) positions available, but we also need you to be flexible enough to work across a 24/7 rota. You would need access to a reliable vehicle to travel around the Braintree district to our customers’ homes.

      We are also interested in talking to people who would like to go on our ‘flexi’ list to work on an as and when basis to fit around your lifestyle.
