If so this may be an opportunity for you to join our Floating support service in the Shoreditch area. You will be responsible for providing support to customers in the community with the aim of promoting independence, health and wellbeing.  We are looking for a dedicated person with a proactive approach to thrive in a busy working environment while ensuring support to our customers to maximise their benefits and dealing with housing related support. With a case load of 12 customers you will assist with assessments, review support plans and risk assessments, support customers to find employment or training opportunities and sign posting and liaising with relevant support services.

      The role is a 9 – 5 and involves working some Saturdays and on public holidays.

      The successful candidate will need to have excellent communication skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes and Peabody’s internal systems, as well as proven ability to communicate well with our customers, colleagues and key stakeholders.

      Our new staff will be required to work with our customers in a person centred approach, focusing on recovery and supporting people to become independent and helping them to move on.

      The successful candidates will be responsible for a caseload, including responsibilities for carrying out needs and risk assessments, support plans, reviews, attending CPA meetings, delivering best practice in safeguarding, and partnership working.

      The service is required to be staffed on a 24/7 basis with both early and late work patterns. There will also on occasions be the need to work at weekends and to undertake at least one sleep in per week which includes some lone working. Peabody has a comprehensive on call facility for staff to use during these times.

      We are currently looking for female care and support workers to provide a high standard of care and support to people with a learning disability living in the Braintree district.  You should be positive, kind and caring and be focussed on encouraging choice, self-worth and assisting our customers to get out and about enjoying themselves in the local community. 

       

      We have full time (37.5 hours) and part time (from 15 hours up) positions available, but we also need you to be flexible enough to work across a 24/7 rota. You would need access to a reliable vehicle to travel around the Braintree district to our customers’ homes.

      We are also interested in talking to people who would like to go on our ‘flexi’ list to work on an as and when basis to fit around your lifestyle.

       

      It doesn’t matter if you don’t have experience as we offer a thorough induction and training package.  All we ask is that you are enthusiastic, willing to learn and want to make a difference.
