Floating Support Worker

    • We’re looking for an experienced Floating Support Worker who has a good sense of humour, is good with people on a 1-1 basis and enjoys helping people to live a good life by addressing health and wellbeing needs, to join us for as long we continue to be funded. Current funding is until 2020.

      ‘STEPS to Stay Independent’ provides a seamless support service for people aged 60+ living in the East Sussex area.

      We have an excellent opportunity for you to gain further work experience, covering both the Hastings and Rother areas of the county. You need to be professional, hardworking, self-motivated and organised. You will have a passion for supporting people to address their health and wellbeing needs by providing a home visiting support service helping with a variety of issues including housing, claiming benefits, managing long-term health conditions, linking in with local groups or activities in the area and any other issues that may prevent someone from living independently.

    Housing Support Worker

      Pathways is a residential service for individuals learning to manage life with mental health problems.

      The service operates 365 days a year; with a member of staff on duty at all times from 8am to 10pm.  

      This role is likely to be of interest to those who have experience working with people with additional support needs or those who would like to gain experience in this field. On a day to day basis you will be supporting residents to gain a range of skills from cooking to engaging with the wider community, supporting them to maximise their income to teaching DIY skills and more.

      Working at Pathways you will earn annual leave plus a full support package via supervision and team working, be part of a friendly and dynamic team, access to training, experience working with vulnerable people and a friendly but sometimes challenging working environment.
