Colchester Temporary Housing service is a service for homeless households who are awaiting assessment, or being assessed by Colchester Borough Homes as to their right to be housed by the housing authority. We work with young people, single adults and families. Some will move on to social housing whilst others may be found intentionally homeless and will move to the private rented sector.
Staff provide a support service to meet the needs of licensees whilst they live in any of the schemes within the service, this including a hostel building and self-contained flats in the local area of Colchester. The team works closely with Colchester Borough Homes to facilitate move-on into appropriate accommodation.
